Quadrant Example Math
This graph is divided into four quadrants or sections based on those values.
Quadrant example math. 1 0 1 0 0 2 and 0 5 do not lie on any of the four quadrants. The 17th century mathematician rene descartes invented the concept of a coordinate system. They lie on the x axis or y axis. Start at the origin.
1 0 and 1 0 lie on the x axis. The first quadrant is in the upper right hand corner of the plane. A 2 dimensional graph cartesian plane includes negative and positive values of both x and y. Both x and y have positive values in this quadrant.
X has negative values in this quadrant and y has positive values. The second quadrant is in the upper left hand corner of the plane. The first quadrant is. Then move 2 units above the x axis.
Then move 8 units below the x axis. Move 4 units to the left from the y axis. The third quadrant is in the bottom left corner.
